Maria, Foster Parent

“The first years of our foster parenting journey were filled with both absolute joy and complete loneliness. We often felt that our journey didn’t fit with others, that we were misunderstood, and alone. Then we got connected into Foster Village Charlotte. To know there is someone I can call, who will help me make sense of this. That’s what you need as a foster parent. Without FVC, we wouldn’t have said yes to our second placement. We wouldn’t have a space to share, and we wouldn’t have a village of support to help us say yes again. We thought we were one and done, until Foster Village became our lifeline and support. Every foster parent needs a village.”

Being the village is the act of showing up. Let’s show up together.

Your support gives children experiencing foster care and the families caring for them the village of support they need to thrive.
