Village Bridge & Guides

Surrounding families with relationships and resources for wholeness

The Programs

Village Bridge

Giving Resources

Village Bridge is a five week class designed to equip first-time foster parents through topics like self-care, preparing the home, generational trauma, and questions to ask when the phone rings.

Village Guides

Building Relationships

Participants that completed Village Bridge are matched with a seasoned foster parent for the first 4-6 months of their fostering journey, deepening their network of support.

Lisa, FVC Village Guide

“I was also honored to be one of the first FVC Village Guides - helping to mentor a new foster parent literally days after receiving their first placement and helping navigate all the firsts like trying to understand WIC, setting up therapy, navigating first social worker visits and meeting their Guardian Ad Litem has been so rewarding. It’s what I would have wanted.”

Being the village is the act of showing up. Let’s show up together.

Your support gives children experiencing foster care and the families caring for them the village of support they need to thrive.
