Join FVC on Sunday, March 23rd for a workshop highlighting the importance of food security for children in care. Ashley Roehrig, MS RDN LDN CEDRD and Annie Goldsmith, RD, LDN from Second Breakfast Nutrition will be joining Foster Village Charlotte for an in-person training to discuss how trauma and neglect/attachment issues impacts eating and the connection with the body. Caregivers will learn the brain science behind food behaviors common in foster care and how to support a child’s journey while they are living in your homes. This training is open to all foster, kinship, and adoptive families.
Training will be held from 3-5 PM, with a community dinner to follow at 5 PM. Childcare is available onsite through our incredible team of staff and volunteers.
2 hours certificate will be provided toward relicensing
