Film Screening and Panel Discussion

"The child may not remember, but the body remembers."

Join Foster Village Charlotte as we host a one-hour documentary screening and panel discussion to build village awareness of the impact of childhood experiences and toxic stress on health outcomes. Whether you are a supporter, volunteer, advocate, partner, or foster/kinship family of Foster Village Charlotte this film will challenge us to think deeper in terms of what this means for children in foster care and the way our village of Charlotte can respond toward building hope and resilience.

"Now understood to be one of the leading causes of everything from heart disease and cancer to substance abuse and depression, extremely stressful experiences in childhood can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on health and behavior."- RESILIENCE Film

In partnership with Charlotte Reslience Project, space hosted by Watershed Charlotte
